The Austin Batgirls is a tgirl baseball team located in Austin. We are dedicated to providing a community for transfeminine people interested in playing sports with other transfeminine people. We are a rag tag team of beginners to seasoned players.

Do I need to know how to play baseball to join?

No! The only thing you need is a desire to play baseball. We come from all levels of experience and skill, we’re happy to help you learn.

I'm not a trans woman or transfeminine, can I join?

As a community space dedicated to transfemmes, you must be transfeminine in order to be a player or organizer. However, we do welcome support, volunteers, and fans of all identities and expressions.

Do I need my own gear?

We strongly recommend having your own glove, batting gloves, bat, and batting helmet. We will try our best to have team gear however we may not have enough. We can recommend good local places to find used equipment if you contact us in the discord or elsewhere.

Is there a cost to join?

Nope! We are dedicated to providing a free community service to Austin's transfem community. We will fundraise and accept donations towards gear, jerseys, and other costs that the club may incure, but theres are strictly voluntary.

Where do you practice/play?

We are currently determining the schedule for practice and games along with a suitable location.

Sister Teams

We are not the first nor are we the only tgirl baseball team in Texas! Check out the Space City Supernovas in Houston, the DFW Diamonds in the DFW, and a team is getting started in San Antonio. If you want to start your own team in your city, do it!
